How It Works

1. Download the Friction application on both your Mac and iPad.
2. Connect your iPad to your Mac via a cable.
3. Launch the Friction application.
4. Begin drawing directly on your iPad.

Black/Whiteboard Feature

In scenarios where visual representation is necessary, such as during screen sharing, the need to draw diagrams becomes apparent. The black/whiteboard feature addresses this by allowing users to switch their Mac's screen to either a black or white backdrop. This functionality can be activated through the menu option View > Blackboard/Whiteboard.

Downloading Drawings

Once you have created a diagram, saving it can be accomplished easily. While taking a screenshot is one option, a more streamlined method involves navigating to File > Download Drawing, which will conveniently save the file directly to your Photos.

Reusing Drawings

For educators and professionals who frequently require the same diagrams, repeating this process can become tedious. Instead, you have the option to save a drawing for future use by selecting File > Save to Sketches. This action stores the drawing in the Sketches folder, enabling you to access it multiple times as needed. Moreover, you can manage these saved drawings by pressing and holding to delete any that are no longer required.
